New York, April 25, 2007 – Scott Barnes Beauty (“S|B”), a luxury cosmetics Company created by celebrity make-up artist, Scott Barnes, today announced the closing of a round of equity financing.  The investment was organized by Oryx Capital International, Inc., a private equity investment firm located in Illinois.  The proceeds will be used for new product development, marketing and expansion of the Company’s retail distribution channels.     

Launched in 2004, the S|B line of products combines leading edge looks and formulation with contemporary sleek packaging and promotion to create a niche high-end cosmetics line.  Today, the collection includes select and unique color cosmetics and treatment products, including the cult product body bronzer, Body Bling, infamously worn by Jennifer Lopez.  Scott Barnes has received numerous accolades for his products, including being “Newcomer of the Year” by Women’s Wear Daily and “Best Beauty Gifts” for the Beauty Bento Box in 2005, by Glamour magazine.
